Best Easy Diets
Choosing a diet is never easy. How do you know which ones are safe and healthy? There are usually loads of diets out there that claim they are going to give you fast results. Which ones are really the best? I am going to go over the good points and the bad points of several best easy diets.
Atkins diet
OK, this is a pretty famous one now and you probably already have the basic idea of what it involves. In the first week or so you can only have protein and fat with a maximum of 10g of carbs per day. This is pretty tough. It involves cutting out alot of basic foods that make up the most part of a normal persons diet. You can forget about bread, cakes, cookies, pasta, chocolate, sweets, desserts (other than strawberries and cream) and anything else similar to this. You will also be giving up most vegetables and fruits. Does this sound like an easy healthy diet to you? When a diet plan starts to suggest cutting out healthy foods like fruits and vegetables I would naturally tend to avoid it.
Maple syrup diet
This has gained some attention recently and more and more poeple are trying it. Basically you can’t eat any food on this diet. You can only drink a concoction of warm water, maple syrup, lemon juice and cheyenne pepper. I’m told it tastes quite bad and you can drink it around 3 times a day instead of actual food. Some people have lost quite alot of weight with this diet. This is because you basically are taking in around 300 calories per day. So really it is just a low calorie diet where you can only drink this mixture of maple syrup and water and nothing else. The weight that people lose is mainly water and muscle and some fat. Whats even worse is that people find that they put the weight right back on in the few weeks after coming off the maple syrup diet. So all in all this isn’t a good option if you want to keep the weight off.
Detox diet
I came across this diet a little while ago. It involves taking your diet down to the very basic levels. It cuts out all the bad foods and replaces them with fruits and other healthy foods. This diet involves a complete overhall of your normal eating habits but I have put it on this list of best easy diets because it is quite simple and easy to follow. basically you just have to eat healthy food. But the first phase is very difficult becuase you don’t get to eat whole food and instead have juice drinks. Thi is a hard phase to go through becuase you will be taking in very few calories. This may leave you feeling weak, tired and irritable. I have been on diets like this in the past so believe me I’ve been there.
Calorie shifting diet
This is a big thing in dieting right now. This diets basic principle involves eating in a so called “strategic way”. You are given a meal plan that is generated based on your preferred foods. You follow this plan for 11 days and then for 3 days you go back to eating normally. If you haven’t lost all of the weight you wanted to by this time then you can go back to the 11 day plan again and so on. This works by confusing your metabolism into burning as much fat as it can because it thinks you are overeating.
